Re: What guitar do you have?

I've got a Fender Strat, a Les Paul, and an old Yamaha acoustic but I'm looking to expand my collection (preferably electric guitars)- can anyone recommend any decent, not highly expensive ones?

You've got a lot of ground covered with those 3 guitars.

You might look at something like an ESP LTD M100. (Jackson, Schecter & Ibanez have similar offerings). This is inexpensive, (less than $300) but has 24 frets and a Floyd Rose Tremolo system so you can shred to your heart's content and do all those zany tricks like pinch harmonics, etc.

A 7-string would be yet another direction. (Schecter Omen 7--$300+/-). 7's work well for power chords and all that chunka-chunka heavy metal stuff.

Re: What guitar do you have?

I've got an acoustic Yamaha F-310 TBS from Argos. I love playing tunes that don't involve moving your fretting hand too much. Or playing the B chord. Or those horrible ones where you have to somehow clamp your first finger over all the strings, and then somehow put your other fingers ten frets up the board or something extremely contorted like that.

hehe we've all been there. Bar chords are much easier on an electric by the way.

Re: What guitar do you have?

I've got a Peavey Wolfagang QT special with Floyd Rose tremolo system (tremolo flush against the board though to keep tuning stable so you can't pull the bar, only do those divebomb sounds).

It does come with the patented D-tuna - a little thing behind the bridge of the e-string you pull out to get drop d tuning without having to retune the guitar. Oh and dual custom humbuckers so its not bad for metal.

Re: What guitar do you have?

Fender American Standard Strat. Pale yellow. And dear Lord, I am in desperate need of new strings. Not to mention a new amp. All I got is a 25 watt Fender Frontman, and it is terrible.
