What guitar do you have?

Just like to ask guitar players what guitars they have. I have an Epiphone Les Paul and a Squier P-Bass.

Mad Yannis : Is that like an 'air drum' ?

I used to own a Hohner acoustic. Then I went out and got meself a Ibanez 4 string Bass. Now that's sitting 1/2 the blooming world away. But no worries... I'm contemplating a shift into classical music anyway!

I have a sunburst red American strat. The guy who sold it to me told me it was a strat-plus. I'm not sure what this means anymore though. I bought it three years ago, so I can't remember what the salesman told me. It has lace-consor pickups.

It's a 1991 model, does this sound similar to your red strat stratman?

I also have a black ibanez acoustic (AW), and a squire strat which I intend to sell.

Stratman, what exactly is the difference between a strat and a deluxe strat?

I feel so embarrast, I am more of a keyboard person, I don't have a huge list like you guys. In fact I just got my first Guitar a few months ago, it's nice though. It's a six string spanish acustic, my uncle (who works at some instrument store) said it would be best to start on this.

ODV has a Gibson that he doesn't use

Hey, Launchpad, hang on to that Strat Plus! That is a sweet setup.
The Lace Sensors ARE what make the "plus" something special. I don't know a lot about pickups, but the Lace's are different from standard singlecoil p'ups, and deliver higher fidelity sound with less hum.

The Am Deluxe is just made with higher quality wood body, (alder or ash) and has locking Schaller tuners and "vintage noiseless" pickups and extra-nice finish work. Mine is a 2000 model.

Gibson SG electric (70-something model)
Suzuki acoustic (slightly modified)

Stratman: that is an impressive list of guitars. A 1944 Martin-28? Sweeeeet. Also, a Strat deluxe, a Les Paul, and a SG? That's just awesome. (I'm not familiar with the ESPs, or the PRS, but Yamahas are pretty nice) What do you think about the Taylor acoustic guitars? The ones I've heard sound good.
