I have all the listed albums and was quite satisfied with the first three, mildly disappointed with Ghost in the Machine and absolutely disgusted with Synchronicity. Go figure.

Brimstone and Treacle was better than the last one by a long way.

Yes, thats exactly how i feel about their 5 albums. The first side of Synchronicity is just awful, in fact I think I only played it once and then never bothered to again. However the second side contains some gems, particularly 'King of Pain' and 'Wrapped around your finger'.

Re: The Police

The only Police album I have is Zenyatta Mondatta so that's the one I voted for. I really like their music, I just have never gotten around to getting any more albums. Apparently they were an excellent live band, and put on a really good show. Maybe I'll get the double live album. Did you know that Andy Summers is actually ten years older that Stewart Copeland?

Re: The Police

I liked seein' the old geezer get up and perform 'Message In A Bottle' w/ No Doubt at the half-time Superbowl show.
He is good (compared to Michael Bolton)

Re: The Police

Well, looks like I am definitely in the minority here. I quite like Sting. And I think that Ten Summoners Tales and Soul Cages were one of the best albums ever IMHO

Re: The Police

Why does it not suprize me that Synchronicity has the most votes...it was their most commercial album, and of course everyone knows Every Breath You Take.

For me it would have to be Ghost in the Machine. Couldn't cite a really good reason other than the fact that I just like it. Zenyatta Mondatta would run a close second.

Re: The Police

Reggatta de Blanc was too repetitititive... keep it up it up. Keep it up it up. Keep it up it up.

Zenyattą Mondatta was too pop-y. De doo da da indeed.

Ghost is a little more to my liking, but still a little on the preachy side.

Synchronicity is pretty good, but just a bit too polished.

So I'd have to go with Outlandos d'Amour.
