deos anybody know when the region 1 version of live at pompeii comes out?

Actually, the truth is nobody knows. Universal or whoever hasn't decided a date, but it will probably be pretty late in the year. If you are too impatient and can read Portuguese, a region free NTSC version of the DVD has been released, check out the Brain Damage site for details. Those Brazillian DVD companies, always having those quirky DVD releases. First Jethro Tull's Slipstream, then Yes's Keys to Ascencion tour.

If you look at the track listing for The DSOM dvd it almost looks like it could be Pompeii, anybody agree?

No, the DSOTM one is a Classic Rock Albums DVD. It is a series done by Eagle Rock Entertainment. It's just a documentary to the making of the album and such.

Pompeii will be released by Universal Pictures. They're not the same.

The Czech republic. The release date is set on September for Central Europe.

Awesome. I imagine it'll be released here in Canada the same day as the US. That's usually the way it goes.

Unfortunately though, no US date yet.

It's very tempting to get the Region 0 NTSC DVD from Brazil off Ebay, but I'm resisting the temptation. The label is in Porguguese, and I can't read it, so I might just wait for the US version to come out. Though my impatience might burst through soon.......

today is a great day:
i've received the official dvd-release and i love it
the sound is perfectly boosted without cutting around on the original sound and the picture is crystal-clear !
a must have for everyone
no matter where you live - get it from amazon.de - i don't think it's available anywhere else

i nearly forgot:
the best thing about it is that you can see the original-video-version without the darkside-studio-videos (you may think i'm crazy but i think they are very annoying when you try to sink into the whole concert)

also very interesting is the interview with adrian maben:
finally the question is answered why some times there are shots of the band that are certainly not filmed at the amphitheatre
but i'm not going to take away the tension - just listen to it yourself when you get the dvd
