Does anyone like the band Tool? They don't really put themselves out in2 the media. I think they're influenced by FLOYD. I love them!

I bought Lateralus off the back of a listen in a mate's car and quite dig it.

Mmmmm, progressive.

Cheers,

I think it's an awsome band I've been with them ever since the beginning. Unlike most today's bands, these guys have skill.

They are a talented band that should be recognized. I am not crazy about them, but I do respect thier music and I own two albums.

I do not think Tool sound even remotely like the Floyd. Just because both bands are creatively weird, dosen't mean they sound similar.

I am tired of hearing people say that bands like Tool and Radiohead are the Pink Floyd's of today *sigh*.

As the demise of Pink Floyd hasn't yet "officially" been confirmed I would say that Pink Floyd are the Pink Floyd of today.

I LOVE TOOL! Not as much as the Floyd of course, but I think they're great. I think they're all very talented, especially the drummer Danny Carey. And their music is excellent. I saw them live just a few months ago... Augusta Civic Center on Oct 26, 2002. GREAT SHOW!

Funny thing about their new album Lateralus though... much the same thing happened with Amused To Death by Roger Waters. When I first bought Lateralus I listened to it and I was very disappointed... I thought it was borderline s**t. But, much to my own surprise, once I gave it a few solid listens... it turned out to be my fave Tool CD!!!

It's good stuff... if you like progressive metal I recommend all 4 Tool CDs along with A Perfect Circle's Mer de Noms.
