Is it just me, or...
Is it just me or does anyone else here find that The Wall, The Final Cut, and The Pros & Cons Of Hitchhiking all have a similar kind of "feel" to them?

I know, obviously, they have their major differences... they're all very different releases, but deep down, I find they have a subtle... "sameness" to them. I don't know how else to say it.

Anyone else agree? Comments?

"Feel"? it's the same album (The Wall) rehashed and rehashed again. Cool eh?

The Wall and Pro's & Cons were both written at the same time, The Final Cut has tracks that didn't make it onto The Wall so it's not suprising they all sound similar.

Yeah, like they said previously they all have the same feel 'cause they were made at the same time. You'll all think i'm crazy, but of the three I prefer Pro's and Cons

No, he's not crazy at all, IMO.

Pro&Cons was an amazing album. So was The Wall; it's a classic. And believe it or not, I think that for me, The Final Cut is the Floyd/Waters album with the most emotion of them all.

All three of them, great albums... GREAT ALBUMS.


Oh... and by the way, I knew Pros&Cons and Wall were written at the same time, and I knew Final Cut was more or less material left over from the Wall. But... some material for Animals was written around the same time Wish You Were Here was being written and that stuff doesn't sound very much alike. So just because it was written together doesn't always means it SOUNDS the same.

waters is not crazy , he was really pissed off at the time

these 3 albums are very good , but too dark and at some point ( the final cut and pros / cons ) music became a font for lyrics , very hard to listen to . Wright is gone , good bye blue sky ....

there is a song from The Final Cut , where all elements are taken from comfortably numb ......
i like the final cut as the album , it's good , anti-war , social work .
