| Re: Another Brick in The Wall Maybe I'm a little late to post to this thread but I just joined. I too, play bass. Don't believe Gilmour's claim to playing half of the Floyd's bass parts. If you try hard enough you can sometimes get a handle on Rog or Dave's bass style and be able to pick them out. Remember Dave played lots of bass for Syd's solo stuff. And granted that Rog is no Entwistle. Also, listen to some floyd boots, and check out concert photos. I've found that a good rule of thumb is that if Rog didn't play it live with the Floyd, then he probably didn't play it on the record. The Animals tour comes to mind. Snowy White handled some live bass for the Animals tour. I personally doubt whether Dave did any bass work on Floyd tracks before the Animals album (except the second bass on "One Of These Days." ) Then again this is my somewhat educated guess. Can anyone confirm? |

 i believe........ judging by the live photos of The Wall 1980-81 roger played the bass live. unless it was a member of the surrogate band? in that thought, perhaps, pink floyd don't really exist and the surrogate band played it all!!! just kiddin! - i still think roger played live wall though

| Re: Another Brick in The Wall It seems , he never played a bass during Comfortably Numb , in 1980-81 , he was wearing doctor costume and sing to the wall his lines with no instrument at all , and during " In The Flesh 2000-01 " tour , he played some merely visible acoustic guitar with " just a little pin prick " . |
