Does he know the band members? It's all very well for him to say that EMI have approached them to do one last tour - I don't doubt that they have, as you say, EMI are having financial difficulties and a Floyd tour would generate vast amounts of money for them. However the chances of Gilmour turning round and saying "OK chaps, whatever you say." are remote in the extreme. It's not a case of being negative it's just being realistic, how many times have these rumours surfaced over the years and come to nothing. As for a Floyd tour including Roger, that's just laughable.

If you expect nothing then you're not disappointed when that's what you get. Maybe DG will change his mind one day, who knows, it just seems to me that the longer things go on with nothing on the horizon the less likely it is that anything will happen at all.
Only time will tell.

And even better a new album! I can definitely see the faces of those guys when Dave told them he wants to do a SOLO album! I bet they're imploring him for a new Floyd project.

Yes, because this is the first time in the last 200 years that musical elitists have complained about the poor quality of popular music.

You listen to the charts? That's the most ridiculous thing I've heard today.

Re: Touring One Last Time

The charts are meaningless, you should have more sense. And yes, I do know I'm from the UK.

Bollocks, there is plenty of talent around if you know where to look, bands like The Music, Doves, Elbow, Coldplay, Interpol, The Hives, The Vines ... I could go on.
