Re: Who has the best name?

I guess everyone likes their own name best. I vacillated between what I used and "Creeping Malaise".

But I didn't want to be called "Creep", or "Creepy". (too close to the truth)

Re: Who has the best name?

I kind of like GilmourWhore's name myself, but that's mostly because of my love for Gilmour. The man is old enough to be my father, and yet...

As for my name, I think it is rather unimaginative, but easy to remember. Also, it provides an easy nickname.

I actually don't like my name anymore...I thought it was kinda stupid shortly after I joined here but could never be arsed changing to something else.

I actually like your name. Very abstract and mysterious. Coupled with the avatar.

I have a pension for cumbersome names:

DaedalusLabyrinth, Purple_Inate_Munky_Pedestrian, CactusManLove, UmkhontoweSizwe, etc, etc.

Thankfully, the good souls here had found at least a punch line for my handle.

Creeping Malaise is a damn cool name. Kind of sinister, in a cool way.

Cheers. It was what I wanted to call a little band I was once in.

As for the Avatar...that's a cartoon I used to watch as a kid. The captain of the ship was "Captain Avatar".

It amused me.

No, Simon, I think it's Star Blazers.

I seem to recall you telling me that before, Driven, right?

Cheers!

Yeah, you're right GW, it's Star Blazers...and yes we've discussed it before.

I loved that damn cartoon. Reminiscing too...

Re: Who has the best name?

hmmmm, I like Sydney I thought it was real clever when I made it up... I sometimes wish it was something else, and if i was to be joining now it'd be something from LotR or maybe even my own Elvish name Morquessewen which actualy means Black feather (mor meaning black ie mordor, morgoth and all things evil and quesse meaning feather. wen is just a femenine add on) or it'd be one of the 3 female charcters from LotR, Eowyn, Arwen, Galadriel (galad meaning light which is why Galadriel is often refferd to as lady of light)
Sometimes I consider changing it but then I know I'd miss Sydney and I think everyone here's grown to know Sydney.... so SYDney it is, or more often than not Syd or Dyd

cheers
