Bad Moon Rising

Well, here goes...

I have just been working on a pet project of mine and I can now say I have finally started it after much reading and planning.

Bad Moon Rising is set in a fictional unnamed city where werecreatures, vampires and other minorities are a very significant minority indeed. The hero of the story is Cyril, a vampire slayer ( no Buffy quips, please ) whose main job is to keep an eye on the vampire community and get rid of any recalcitrant vampires that could disturb the vampire politics. The anti-hero is a young weredragon fledgeling called Tez, who is extremely naive and gets himself mixed up in a desire for revenge for his weredragon attacker and two opium addicted outlaws. The murder of a vampire in the slum district gets Cyril on the case but things soon turn out to be very nasty...

The influences here are Pratchett for the most part but some horror authors found their way in and the PF influences are very subtle.

However I won't post it here because it is violent, crude and may contain some disturbing scenes. I don't want to rapped over the knuckles for corrupting the minds of young people who may use this site so if you are curious, then you'll have to say so here or in a PM and I'll PM you back. The first three chapters are done and I have no idea how long the story will be.

I'll also update here on how far the story has progressed.
