Re: Again, A Nice Pair (LP)

To come back to your question:
Having a nice collection of LPs is worth something... it's not only about looking at the cover, it's... more.
But of course you're right with the music, I might get the album and can still keep looking for the other two...

It really comes down to your preference. We can't help with that.

It's always about preferences and priorities, isn't it?

Re: Again, A Nice Pair (LP)

It's a personal choice of course, if you feel you need the original album sleeves you'd better keep looking, otherwise just get A Nice Pair, there are no differences with the lp's themselves as far as the tracks are concerned.

Re: Again, A Nice Pair (LP)

Well,
there is, but just a little one:
Quote:
A Nice Pair is nothing more than Pink Floyd's albums "The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn" and "A Saucerful Of Secrets", with only one difference: the version of "Astronomy Domine" that appears on the original US Capitol pressings of ANP is not the original (studio) version, but was instead the live version that appears on "Ummagumma". Other than that, it is identical to the original UK "Piper".

Re: Again, A Nice Pair (LP)

I really don't know about that, I have A Nice Pair on vinyl and both albums are the original recordings, but then again I do live in the UK.

Re: Again, A Nice Pair (LP)

Well,
I don't know, the Info is from "Piper" that's what he wrote in the inofficial releases section. I'll see tomorrow what version it is...
