RE: Custom Avatars

I'm still having issues with this.....when I try to create a Custom Avatar, I'll save the image in "My Pictures", then go into it and edit it...but when I resize it to 70X70 pixels it doesn't make the pic smaller, but instaed removes just about all the pic and keeps like a corner of it. In other words, it seems to be just taking the upper left tiny part of the pic and keeping that....what am I doing wrong if anyone understands what the hell I'm talking about???? Thanks again

Right, what you're doing is "cropping" the pic to 70x70. The easiest way to get the results you want, is to locate a thumbnail size photo, or a pic that is pretty small. That way you can just trim off the edges. So try choosing a picture to use that is small. Let me know how it goes.

What you need is a serious program (i.e. Photoshop or Corel Photopaint), not a small picture! Post the picture here, I'll resize it for you, it's a matter of few seconds actually.

If you use Photoshop or Microsoft Photo Editer you can resize any image, no matter what size it is originally. Just make sure when you choose the resize option you specify 'pixels'.

I have "Picture It", and "Dell Image Studio"...I just find, that the quality seems to hold much better using a smaller picture, than if you do a "resize". Just my personal preference.

$500 is a small price to pay for the opportunity to have my very own Custom Avatar

Dr Cheese is (pick one):

a) purposely saying that he is not my friend
b) illiterate and/or willfully ignoring what I said
c) under the impressing that 'Nancy' is spelled with a G
d) an asshole
e) All of the above

You don't need any photoshop shite, all you need is PAINT, it comes with windows, I resize all my avatars with it, without croping them.
