If you were referring to my last contribution, here, I'm afraid I have to say, "No."

It's something I can personally identify with: an attack, utterly unprovoked, save for the fact that the victim made the mistake of appearing happy.

Wrong place, wrong time...

If you weren't referring to my last contribution, I apologize. Please go back to your regularly scheduled programme...

Cheers!

Damn! Well atleast it was a street brawl.. the kind where you end up with a broken rib and some stitches... Like you said, been there done that. People tell that a bar fight is more exciting though (maybe because the participants are so wasted that they can't feel anything and slug it out till they pass out?)

I don't know from bar fights, I'm afraid. But I do know from being attacked just for being there, wherever "There" happened to be.

And in the story that segment came from, there's much, much worse than a broken rib that follows...

Cheers!

Re: Paste Makes Waste.

Burke had wondered at the smirks Harold had trailed in his wake, the unsubtle pointing of fingers that had followed the lad into the room. He’d dismissed these things at first, mostly out of a sense of fairness and empathy from his own past experiences, only to find out their justification shortly before the end of the evening. Harold seemed to have some self-control issues when it came to his own wandering hands. He had an apparent need for self-gratification on an unusually accelerated level, which thankfully never wandered from his own person. A good night’s sleep was difficult to come by – pardon the pun – what with Harold’s constant forays into the field of self-abuse.

Even that I could ignore if it weren’t for the fact that he tries so hard to hide what he’s doing that it lasts for what seems like hours, Burke thought. Hell, even I don’t want to anymore, I’ve heard it so much. If it was just once a night I wouldn’t care, but it’s constant! Just when you think there’s nothing left and surely he’s finished, he’s at it again.

Re: Paste Makes Waste.

"Life is empty, can't remember anytime before
On a plain lit cold december, see ever more
Running through this life, and another as a child
And we're doing games and losing things
Always playing gigs.
Somewhere in the sky, where the moon the stars shine bright
Where the sun is shining, in the night
I am in distress, yet I see your smiling face
And I hope you'll let me, share your space..."
