It's a bit tongue-in-cheek, Simon me boy.

Re: Paste Makes Waste.

I was going to paste something here, but when I tried it, it was too smutty... darn.

So I'll write this instead:

Simon! New Avatar! Liam Neeson as Oskar Schindler...

I Love Liam Neeson...

so tall, so handsome, so slim, so classy...

Purrrrrrrrrrrrrrr...

Ta!

:o :o :o You are f'ing amazing! :o :o :o

Incidentally, i agree with that observation about that said charecter. One of my most favourite scenes is when he's ushered into the restaurant and he is seated and then the camera shows his face... almost regal (air of supperiority, class, arrogance).

He's Irish, isn't he?

I am amazing, aren't I?? LOL And yet you wed another?? Oh, well. I am gracious in that respect, as Gerald can attest.

And Liam is indeed Irish.

Cheers!

Re: Paste Makes Waste.

She stuck her tongue out at him and flopped out onto the bed, her sweater rising a little and showing the soft curve of her belly before she tugged it back down. Burke blinked to erase the image and turned on the radio on the bedside table, looking for something to listen to.
"Tony grabbed me arse the other day," she said suddenly, and Burke paused for just a moment in his efforts to tune something in.
"Did he?"
"Yes. Not hard, just kind of playful."
"Did you smack him?"
"No."
"Smack him next time, then."
"You know, once upon a time, if I'd told you that, you would have gone straight over and beat him up."
"No, I wouldn't have. He'd probably kick me arse like he grabbed yours – not hard, just playful."

Re: Paste Makes Waste.

Rachel Griffiths makes the most of her cameo, playing a sexually aggressive bank manager's wife. Naomi Watts ("The Ring") is hemmed in by her standard "romantic interest" role. Her insipid subplot with Ledger is the film's only completely fictional conceit, and it rings false at every turn. Joel Edgerton mixes charm and snaky malice as a traitor in the midst. And stealing all of his scenes is Orlando Bloom, whose rakish swagger and commanding screen presence suggest a formidable star in the making.

Re: Paste Makes Waste.

This world is not yours
You cannot understand me the way you hope to
You cannot understand that I fault you for this
I'll never understand.
But I see that you want to love me
Utterly
And completely
Although I know it will never be
Just the way you see it.
You dream too much
Your life has been too easy
And I want what you have
I need what you have to give me
But if I take it I will kill you
And destroy exactly what I love about you.
But you're determined
I've warned you but you stay
So have it this way
The way that you want it.
I'll never do you physical harm
But I will crush you down
I will hurt you in every way
That doesn't leave marks for the world to see.
I will break you because you cannot bend far enough
I will hurt you in ways you didn’t know I could
And I will curse your stupid weakness
And I will accuse you of lies
That you never told and I never heard
Just because I can.
And you'll see nothing
And you'll say nothing
And your love will struggle for its strength
You're such a fool and
I love you for it.
I hate you for it.
I will grieve when you are gone.
Later on, I will see you somewhere
Maybe a corner shop or cafe
And I will see that hunted look in your eyes
I will take grim pleasure
In knowing that I placed it there.
I will come closer and you will wonder
If you can trust me
If it was your fault and the last
Faint glimmer
Of your old self will shine.
I will take you home and spend the afternoon
Riding on your body pretending you aren't you
And you'll weep when we have finished and
I pretend I don't know your name
so the last faint glimmer winks out.

Re: Paste Makes Waste.

They’d got completely out of their heads that year, and Burke thought it felt great to do so. For those three days, nothing bothered him, nothing troubled him, everything was wonderful and lovely and life was just grand, grand, grand… They’d tried everything they could get their hands on, drank themselves into oblivion and somehow managed to just keep going for the duration, on little sleep (he couldn’t remember sleeping, but he must have, surely, at some point…). He’d hugged strangers, kissed all sorts of girls (and maybe a lad or two, he just couldn’t be totally sure, now…) and danced like a lunatic in the mud and the rain, dead certain all the while that this was how he’d feel forever after.

Then they’d had to sober up and get back to work in the real world of mending fences, digging postholes and shovelling manure. The last taints of Nell’s games had worn off by the time Tommy had left for home and Burke was surprised at how emotional he’d felt at the time. They were best friends again, thank goodness, and life had gotten to an even keel again. More or less.
