Late Home Tonight, Part I
Roger Waters
Amused to Death
Tabbed by Dramatic Name (tylenoljunkie@hotmail.com)
(feel free to e-mail questions, comments, praise, flames, etc.)
Notation is h=hammer-on, p=pulloff, ^=rolled (not strummed)
chord
This is straight from the piano score. There's all sorts of
technicalities on the guitar, but this is pretty close to the real
thing. Apologies for mangling lyrics with tab and chords. Waters'
diction here doesn't lend itself to tablature. Sounds great,
though. Chord shapes may be a bit unorthodox, but they do work.

Standing at the window,
a farmer's wife in Oxfordshire
Glances at the clock, it's nearly time for tea,
she doesn't see
The phantom in the hedgerow it its wings;
Doesn't hear the engine sing...

(*In the sheet music, the left-hand piano part drops an octave to
make up for orchestral parts. If playing with a group, the bassist
enters here, following the part on the guitar's low E-string.)
