| Re: What is this song called? High Hopes off of the Division Bell Beyond the horizon of the place we lived when we were young In a world of magnets and miracles Our thoughts strayed constantly and without boundary The ringing of the division bell had begun Along the Long Road and on down the Causeway Do they still meet there by the Cut There was a ragged band that followed in our footsteps Running before time took our dreams away Leaving the myriad small creatures trying to tie us to the ground To a life consumed by slow decay The grass was greener The light was brighter With friends surrounded The nights of wonder Looking beyond the embers of bridges glowing behind us To a glimpse of how green it was on the other side Steps taken forwards but sleepwalking back again Dragged by the force of some inner tide At a higher altitude with flag unfurled We reached the dizzy heights of that dreamed of world Encumbered forever by desire and ambition There's a hunger still unsatisfied Our weary eyes still stray to the horizon Though down this road we've been so many times The grass was greener The light was brighter The taste was sweeter The nights of wonder With friends surrounded The dawn mist glowing The water flowing The endless river Forever and ever |

| Re: What is this song called? It's done by a Pink Floyd tribute band. They're not very convincing, although they play all the old stuff pretty well, along with a bunch of others that they need onstage these days.

| Re: What is this song called? Don't listen to Fixxy...the song IS written by Pink Floyd, but after Roger Waters left the band. To him (and many others) that means it isn't a Pink Floyd song. As people earlier have said...it is found on the Pink Floyd album "Division Bell".

| Re: What is this song called? Yeah, i got the sarcasm, I just wanted to argue. Anyways, I am seeing the doors next Friday.... are you guys against post Jim doors? A lot of people seem to think I am an idiot for buying tickets.

| Re: What is this song called? Yeah I think post Jim doors seems a little silly...but then there are folk who said/say the same about post Syd and post Waters Floyd...and I like both of those. Fixxy...miss yer stylin' lines too pal.

| Re: What is this song called? Well even if the show ends up not being great, I can still have a good time. The only shows i have been to are Peter Frampton (free at the LA county fair i might ad) and the pink floyd laser spectacular.... so this should top them.

PS : At least they are better than Creed covering "Roadhouse Blues"... so thank god for small mercies.
