DVD Release of DSOT

Hi guys,

Amazon.com are collecting e-mail addresses from people interested in a DVD release of Delicate Sound of Thunder .
Quote:
Availability: NOT YET RELEASED: The studio is currently not producing this title on DVD, but to be notified when it is available, enter your e-mail address at right. You'll also be voting for this release; we'll let the studio know how many customers are waiting for this title.
Wouldn't it be great if we could push the release by adding our mail addresses on their site ? here .

You may not know you're bullshitting but it is bullshit. All the so-called 'dvd's that are advertised on dodgy websites are unofficial and are rips from vhs or laser disc. Don't be conned, wait for the 'proper' official releases.

i hear what youre saying and do find it somewhat dubious that ive only seen it on ebay. but isnt a rip from vcd to dvd just as good as a dvd, especially if they keep the surround sound?

No chance, you have to convert and compress the file format which loses all the dvd image quality and I don't think the 'surround sound' is true 5.1 either. VCD's are comparable in quality to VHS tapes, save your money.

So you tell HMV to swivel and nip off down to Tesco! Asda are pretty cheap too, the likes of HMV and Virgin are just taking the piss.
