Tony Levin, anyone?

First of all, i'd like to say hi to everyone. I've been gone for awhile, tied up with homework and various web design pursuits.

I was curious as to how many people have Tony Levin's recent album, "Pieces of the Sun". How is it, and would you consider it as interesting as his collaborative work?

This is a bit off topic, but I saw Tony Levin live with Peter Gabriel and he rocked!

Yeah, I read your comment about that in my Peter Gabriel thread. I really wish that he and levin would visit North Carolina sometime -- i'd be glad to go to a concert.

I just ordered "Pieces of the sun" today; i'm taking a gamble on Levin's writing ability. I'll tell you if it's worth the money.

BTW, not that anyone really cares about grammies, but he was nominated for one for "Apollo" as best rock instrumental.

Cool, Tony Levin worked with some of the members of Dream Theater and they created a group and made two CD's....I don't know the name of it right now, but when it comes to me i'll be sure to tell you!

It's called Liquid Tension Experiment. I believe he also worked on the various Fripp "ProjeKct" albums. Correct me if i'm wrong.

He probably has, since he and Fripp knew each other...they were both in King Crimson.
