Box Set what do you think

I would like to see what others think of the box set??? I just got it this Xmas and as much as i love PF I think it was poorly made. The stickers on the CD covers are not even straight LOL I would have never bought this but someone heard me talk about it and bought it. The singles CD was the most important thing to me. Why did they leave out Piper , Atom and Uma ????? Why the hell did they add in MLR. It's OK CD with a few good songs.

Curious of others thoughts. Sorry if this was answered before, I searched but came up empty handed.

thanks again

It's a money making excercise for the record company, the singles cd was the bait to get people to buy it.

I never liked boxed sets because they always leave important things out....and if the stickers weren't on right?!?!?! Whats going on in this world?

Well the stickers are not important but for one why damn stickers and not something like no booklet cover art that is right on the case. Or paper sleeves like the Singles CD. I don't like boxsets either but like I said someone else bought it for me. I would have never bought it. The Zeppelin Complete Recordings boxset is sweet I have that and the Queen Crown Jewels is great. That one shot got me all the CD's that I wanted.

I felt with those I got my money's worth but on Floyds it is BAD. Book was OK.

I don't know the music business is wacked and makes me sick

Box sets are a pain for the collector that has all the albums in it anyway, and just need a few tracks. The Who's Maximum R&B set is like that. Spent 50 dollars on around 7 songs I needed. If they only put Vegetable Man and Scream on the Shine On set, would it be semi-interesting to get.

I really enjoyed Genesis' box set Archive 1967 - 1975. It has a bunch of B-sides, unreleased demos, BBC tracks, live tracks in addition to the only live album they released from this period and a complete Lamb Lies Down On Broadway live.

Crazy Diamond box set is also a nice thing. I got it for a 110% of price I would pay for the three CDs alone and got that nice book and all.

I am considering the Crazy Diamond box set. I don't have any Barrett albums in my possession, just stuff I got from the library.

It's good. It has a nice book and some new artwork. Plus all those bonus tracks.

No prob. I'm trying to warn everybody before purchasing ML, Barrett or Opel without the bonus tracks. Some of them are really nice.
The same goes for Santana's first three albums, although the bonus tracks there are outstanding... Soul Sacrifice from Woodstock and such things.
