Syd Barrett on VH1 Confidential

to my surprise, i was watching VH1 and they were showing a program called ''VH1 Confidential'' and its all about certain famous artists (Jim Morrison, Brian Wilson, Jim Gordon, Tupac Shakur, and others) and talks about insanity, faked death rumors, and just all around weird stuff. well they included a 5-10 minute segment about Syd Barrett. its nothing i havent seen before, just a good program to see. it included interviews with Joe Boyd and Gary Patterson. overall it was just nice to see Syd getting some airtime on public tv again. did anyone else have the pleasure of seeing it?

No, but somehow that reminds me of the Barrett entry in the Rolling Stone Rock and Roll Encyclopedia I saw once. It said something about his starting of Pink Floyd and ended 'Barrett was institutionalized briefly and now lives with his mother,' or something to that effect.

Gerald, I have to assume that you are a lot older than you actually are. And also a lot more British.

I saw a bit of that show, now that you describe it.

I only saw the bit blaming John Bonham's alcohol poisoning on Jimmy Page's interest in black magic.
