Question Rolling Stones on DVD

This one's for you, Stones freaks at APFFN.

I need advice about DVDs. Is there anything good out there to be bought? I've seen "live at the Max" for a cheap 13 €, but is it any good? And if not, what's the best Rolling Stones' DVD I should pay good money for?

Thanks in advance.

i have " bridges to babylon tour 97 -98 " , excellent show , good tunes , all the hits , good special effects , although it's not special edition , it is worthy all those greenish shit and dimes , i likee it and recommend it to ya . only minus is the audience , too old , they should have release gig from germany ( one that was on live world telecast in 1997 /98 ) with GA seats .

I don't have a DVD player. And no DVDs either. So, sorry, I can't help you.

I, sadly, have not seen any of their DVD's, but I personally would probably get "Live At the Max", since it has "2000 LY From Home" and "Paint It Black", two of my fav's (But that's just me) Also, this one has Bill Wyman on bass, which is a must for me.

On the other hand, Bridges to Babylon has what's supposed to be a great version of "Gimme Shelter", and Voodoo Lounge has the rare "It's All Over Now".

Probably you should review the setlists and see which offers more of the songs you like best.

I have a VHS copy of Gimme Shelter, and I watch it occasionally. Very poignant. A sad story.

Thank you all guys. I think I'll go with Live At The Max for now. 13 € and Bill Wyman in the package sounds good enough.

Just to let you know, I eventually bought Live At The Max and I have to say it's an excellent concert. The DVD itself is poor, no extras, VHS video quality and poor menu. Yet, the performance of the band is very good, music rocks and yes Strat, Paint It Black and 2000 LY From Home are two unmissable f*cking classics.

Glad to hear you like it, Mad Y.

I may try to chase down a copy of that myself.
