The Scorpions

Ok. I probably am going to get murdered for this. And this will most probably degenerate into mindless discussion anyway. But I've been really bothered about this for quite sometime now and I really wanted to ask this question.

The Scorpions - How about them eh?

I absolutely love their ballads. i mean, WOW! Nothiing quite moves me that much (except for a handful of songs from other bands). Maybe it's a teen thing? Or something else? So, what do you guys think?

I liked some of their stuff. Klaus Meine's distinctive voice makes everything end up sounding alike to me.

"The Zoo" is my favorite song they did.

I think Michael Schenker is one of the better guitar players.

Had I not been so in love with Bret Michaels back in the day, I probably would have loved them even more.

Ok. Update to Poll. If anyone like some of their works/ hates some of their works, please try listing them in your post ( I know that this is like asking for too much, but please!)

I for one like their ballads, Klaus Meine's voice and their decent Lyrics/music. Some of their guitar work is phenomenal. The time when they had three guitarists in the band (one of them the phenom Michael "Mad axman" Schenker).. was a mind blowing time. Of late, they have become rather stereotypical [and I feel, Klaus has become very nasal]... but they are still amazing in my book.

I only know Wind of Change, which I really liked.
They were good playing the Wall at Berlin though.

As Simon knows , I saw The Scorpions way back in the late '70's when I was extremely young and foolish. It was very Spinal Tap! We enjoyed it immensely, I don't think I've listened to them since!!

I saw them in the States back in '83. Very Spinal Tap indeed, but enjoyable. I loved the "Black Out" album. Haven't listened to them recently though.

He He... that was a fact I discovered much later. Serious. I their ballads... I wish they had made less heavy metal songs... but I suppose that was what gave them their popularity in the first place...

Cheese : Mick has acted in quite some movies. I think he even acted in one with Hopkins (?). It was a futuristic movie...
