Out of the Blue is a great song.

Re: David Gilmour - About Face

This is one of my favorite solo albums from any Floyd member.

You Know I am Right, Near The End, Until We Sleep, & Murder are my most favorite songs from this album. I love all the tracks though.

Re: David Gilmour - About Face

It's a little too 80s for me. I agree there are a few good songs...Murder is right up there with some of the best from the Floyd stable (which is why it's been my signature since I've been at this site).

As a whole album goes, I much prefer his first solo. One of my favourite albums.

Re: David Gilmour - About Face

I especially like 'Out of the Blue'. But 'Near the End' is my fav from the album. The double-tracked acoustic solo blending in with the electric just as the electric guitar takes over to one of Dave's great sustained notes - it's pure guitar magic in book.

AGREE! Just those few notes are so emotional!
