David Gilmour - About Face

I'm new to this board, but I'm a floyd fan for about 12 yrs now, and I have almost every Floyd album that's available.

Recently i bought Mr. Gilmour's solo album "About Face" and I can say I like it alot!!!

I didnt see any posts about this album, and I'm wondering what other floyd fans think about it.
And does anyone know if there has been an "about face tour"???
Cause if there were, I have to stop writing and start looking for bootlegs (if available) :SMILE!!!!!

Yeah the subject has been indeed covered. You have to be sure to check your control panel (CP) and set your options in order to show ALL the threads (not just the most recent ones).

And yes, there are live recordings of the AF concerts, try WinMx or KazaaLite or other filesharing programs and you'll easily find them.

I liked this album. Let's Get Metaphysical was a great song IMO.

I need to get this on cd, right now I've only got it on tape, and the tape is pretty crappy.

Did you like Blue Light? This was voted as the worst solo song of any PF member in a poll some years back. I always thought it was kind of cool. Am I alone here?

It's not my fav from the album, but that doesnt mean i don't like it!!!! I like the guitar parts, kinda like Run like hell but than different, know what I mean???

About the poll, I haven't heard Mr Wright or Mr Mason's solo work so I can't judge about worst solo song.

So they say. Personally, I didn't think much of Fictitious Sports. It was good, but not PF member caliber.

Yeah, it wasn't my favorite song, but I didn't think it was that bad.

You should definitely listen to Wet Dream and Broken China by Rick Wright. I cannot say the same about Mason's albums.

I know Mr Masons work on Ummagamma wasn't that exciting either, so I don't know about that. But I'll definitely go and have a listen to Rick's solo work!!!!
