Yes indeed! Your area is very much like Colorado's high country. Except here you'll find a BP service station instead of a picturesque church in a mountain dale.  Speaking of Brenner Pass, when I was heading back to Germany, I didn't have enough money to pay the toll for the bridge. So I had to drive down the old single lane road that 'switchbacked' its way down the mountainside. Go drive that one, Lars, and you may get a different perspective.  Although, I doubt that road is there anymore.
