May I ask why Melo?

I was wondering why because the way "she" is pronounced is the same as a dirty word in French. Imagine the hilarity when me and my fellow schoolmates started to learn English when we were young!

teacher: Now say "Elle est belle" in English.
kid: She...she...she...pffffff..is...pretty....HAHAHAHAHA!!!

Well, if you want to know, here we go. It's not a dirty word like in French.
I don't know the word in english, SheShe (we write xixi ) is the liquid when we piss, mainly said by the children: "Mom, I want to do "xixi" or "Mom, I did "xixi" in my bed!"

Interesting! It's a similar word in Hindi and Tamil - only it sounds something like "ChiChi"

Yes, interesting. In portuguese "Chi" or"Xi" are the same sound, like the sound "She".

That's interesting, because American children say "wee wee" which sounds like the french, "Oui Oui", there's a bit on this simialrity on Family Guy:

Oh well that's very similar in French, it's not really a dirty word (I didn't know how to explain it), but it means something along the lines of "taking a shit" (but we write it chie). This thread makes us learn useful things, uh?
