You see Watered is from Portugal which apparently isnt in Spain were Melo comes from. I always get it wrong so the bit about Spain was for me and the others on the boards who make this mistake.

Of course I wasn't insulting or anything. It has never been my intention. I know that you have visited Spain (I think it was a village by the beach in Catalonia when you were small if I remember well one of your posts). It was part of an ongoing joke between Melo, Stchrissie, Fixxy and some others in which we pretend that Melo's nationality and mine get confused (visit the "Whatever happened to..." thread for a recent example). This is why we write in our "Locations" that Spain isn't Portugal and viceversa.

I apologise if you have felt insulted but it has never been my intention, sorry.

OK, don't worry, everybody is happy again!

And in reference to the "poor country" bit I don't think that a country may be considered as "rich" or "poor" on an economic basis, I think that the cultural and historical heritage is far more important than the economic one and in this aspect Serbia is NOT a poor country. In fact I have a very deep respect for the countries in Eastern Europe. Your recent history is harsher than ours and you are struggling to come through all this.

There are a lot of inmigrants here in Spain from Eastern Europe. I've got some students from Romania and they are really admirable. They always work hard and they've got a lot of respect for and interest in other cultures whereas the spoiled children who are "native" (whatever that means) have a tendency to be lazy (their parents give them almost everything with no effort on their part). They are the ones who I consider to be "poor".

but i had unpleasant meetings with people when i was for example in London, sometimes in the States..so i was just deffending myself

Yes, it's true and it's a shame! The abstention of over 50% cause them to be non-mandatory. Anyway, now the Government has the power to propose in Assembly, since a majority of voters were in favour, so the law will change for sure.

and yes, here in my country, we also don;t have drinking restriction, so you can drink alcohol if your under 18 :]
and people smoke everywhere inside
though, in last year there are many restaurants, where is non smoking area :]
