Yes, yes. wouldn't expect anything more or less. me ancestors are from the Mother land, you know. Migrated from Scotland to Ireland. Still have a family farm over there, apparently.

Steve Irwin is a piece of cake, by the way.

the Aussie accent requires a lot of "Aw Yeah's" for some reason.

The home and away version is fairly real... I think that the steve erwin is the more stereoptypical one. Basically the way I talk, John, is the way most South Aussies talk.. you'll find that they're a little bit different in other parts of the country.. Like the way steve erwin talks is more the way they talk in Melbourne.. Incidentally steve's neice went to my school..

Actually the new Miss World (Miss Ireland) is Chris De Burgh's daughter, and goes to college not far from me. (The connection between this and the last post is that Lej was kinda familiar with someone kinda famous, I'm not just name dropping.)

Remarkable for not only being the daughter of Ireland's famous pop idol, Chris DeBurgh, she was also apparently standing at a cash machine when handed an application form for Miss Ireland. They'd not had sufficient entrants, it seems.

On a whim she applied and the rest is history...
