80's bands (poll)

Well, out of the limited number of bands on there, i voted for The Police. actually, just finished listening to an album of theirs before i clicked on this thread. but your list is really really lacking...the best bands of the 80s were definatly REM and U2. they were more of later 80s tho (well, when they got really good). everything else is pretty much crap. it was a dark age for music...but then came the 90s, and then i realized it was a 2 decade dark age (dont get me wrong, there are some very excellent bands...but just compared to the 70s and 60s, they were really pathetic).

In this post I voted The Police because I think it is the best band of the ones in the poll, but in the 80's I like bands like Queen, Genesis, Yes.........and also Pink Floyd

i don't like any of the bands in the poll and i absolutely hate The Police, so i wasn't able to make a choice.

well i think all the bands that u listed kinda sucked a bit but here are some that i like:

umm wow this is a lil harder than i thought and then you had peopel like TOM PETTY ( ) who made some of his greatsest stuff in the 80's but is usually clasified as a 70"s band/man.... yeah gotta love him...
