Are you suggesting there was music in the 80's?

I think there was. I sort of remember some of it, but I was very young at the time.

You didn't include U2, the biggest commercial hoax of that decade.
And btw, where's Sonic Youth? And REM? And Swans? And Husker Du? And Pixies?

Having to choose among these I'd say Roxy Music.

I seem to recall hearing a song by Mike and the Mechanics that I liked. It went something like 'Nah nah nah nah..nah nah nah nah..nah nah nah nah..nah nah nah nah nah..' Anyone remember that?

The bands I've listed were all at their peak of popularity during the 80's, I'm aware that some of them formed during the seventies (e.g. Roxy music, The Police)

I know, I know, there's tons of bands I could've put in instead of others, but I've just picked 10 80's bands that I like. I was curious as to what bands that I listen to are most popular amongst APPFN.

And Dr Cheese, there is no way that all of these bands are wank apart from the Smiths.

Yes, well that be a lesson to you - never try at anything.

You could never pick enough bands so as to keep everyone 100% happy, so what do you do? Don't bother in the first place.

BTW, where were Iron Maiden, Metallica, etc, etc...

See what I mean?
