New blood on the block

Hi, I'm new to this board. I've been listening to Pink Floyd for a few months now, and love their music. I must admit that I didn't always like them. I thought they were too psychedelic for me. Then I started to listen to some of the songs after Syd's departure. Songs like ABITW Pt. 2, Wish You Were Here and Brain Damage/Eclipse. That was when I realized they were good. First album I bought was A Momentary Lapse Of Reason and it blew my mind away. David Gilmore is one of the best guitar players/song writers I have ever hear. But my favorite album is The Division Bell. The sound is beyond anything I could even imagine. That's where my screen name came from, my favorite song from that album. Sorry this post is so long, I just wanted to give a little of my Pink Floyd background.

I also think "Division Bell" is one of the best Floyd CDs - the live show was incredible as well! Another favorite of mine is Gilmour's first solo release.

You should see some of the posts people put up when they think it's important to argue over stupid things.

Hear, hear! Well said

Perhaps, if I can find the appropriate links, I could steer him/her to one of those wonderful 'discussions' on a popular album (B-Bell) by a band that calls itself Pink Floyd...

paintbox is actually a rick wright song but I don't know about apples and oranges.I think david gilmour should realease the early singles album on it's own rather than having to buy the whole shine on box set to get it.*mutters to self*if only I had his email address.......anyway welcome, again to the forums.

You should try looking on eBay for the cd, if you're registered there. A lot of people sell the cd seperate frojm the box set. The last time I checked, the going rate was around $9.00.
