A nurse at my nursing forum says she doesn't celebrate St. patrick's Day. Here's her reason why::

This holiday has nothing to do with what it means, to me, to be Irish. If the holiday is really about celebrating St Patrick bringing Catholicism to Ireland, wouldn't a quiet day of religious reflection be in order? And don't get me started on the exclusion of gay and lesbian groups from the New York parade. The head of the parade ACTUALLY compared it to Jews allowing neonazis to march in their parades, or African Americans letting the Ku Klux Klan in. Dude? Bite me.
