New member here. I've been coming here for a long time now, mainly for the guitar
tabs. Got the urge to register and so here I am.
Here's how I can be pidgeonholed:
I'm 22 years old. Graduating with a bachelor's degree in psychology this May. I'm a Roger Waters man. The Wall and a Saucerful of Secrets are my two favorite albums. My favorite song changes daily, but it's usually The Trial, In the Flesh (
and "In the Flesh?"), the Great Gig in the Sky, or Sheep.
I started getting into Pink Floyd about two years ago. I actually had my first exposure to them some time before that, but that was under the influence of something we won't talk about here, and needless to say, I didn't take much of it in. Of course, I never gave them a chance when I was teenager because, well, they were Pink Floyd.
I became a huge Radiohead fan after OK Computer, and I always heard them being compared to Pink Floyd. So I bought Echoes and listened to it quite heavily for a while. I remember specifically, One of these Days and Sheep standing out. Those two songs made me think,
Pink Floyd sounds like this? I had a friend who listened to them a lot, so I had him burn me some of their albums -- The Wall, Animals, Meddle, and Wish You Were Here. I began listening to them incessantly, and so I bought real copies of all those albums, plus all of the other Waters-era albums.
Lately I've grown to appreciate Syd Barrett's work. I still haven't taken to David Gilmour.
I also play guitar and keyboards. I write and record my own music, and will start releasing music from my new album within a month or two.
Here's a photo for irrefutable proof:

I'm still trying to learn the Wall note for note, but I'm a rhythm guitarist at heart, so it's proving to be quite a challenge.
So yes. Hi.
