Steady on there, matey. Note the winking smiley, BTW.

And just FYI, it's Byron "REALLY Wild Times" Hunt, thanks.

Re: Leonard Cohen

All I wanted was a discussion about it, what each of our reasons are for our opinion, but nevermind.

Re: Leonard Cohen

But did you ask anyone who likes his voice why they did so. No, you just asked me who dislikes it. You didn't even ask Axe Victim why he thought it depressing. And when I said simply that I thought it a terrible voice, you were unsatisfied with my response and dismissively labelled it circular logic. Why was that?

I asked you what you thought was wrong with it, hoping to perhaps spark a little bit of fun debating, and you said it was terrible because it was your opinion, which is not an adequate answer. You can't say that I was dismissive, when after I asked you for some reasoning you simply said it was your opinion, with no other explanation. I never got a chance to ask anyone else anything, because you've ruined my faith in normal human discussion and scarred me for life.

Re: Leonard Cohen

On the contrary, I stated my opinion that Leonard's voice is terrible not that it was terrible because it is my opinion.

My response may not have been adequate for you, but it is more than adequate for me.

And I can indeed say that your judgement of my responses was dismissive because that is how I perceived it to be, whether you agree or not.

"Faith in normal human discussion" and "scarred for life" had to be a joke; you're kidding, right?
