| House Cleaning Out of curiosity (it isn't all that important), is there any way for mods to delete threads that have been locked? I've noticed that we've been closing a lot lately (due to repeat topics and what-not) but the threads are still there, taking up space and making the forums tougher to browse through, as a thread title can catch the eye only to show three posts and a 'Thread locked' message. Any chance they can be gotten rid of?

| Re: House Cleaning I was thinking the same thing actually. It looks kind of messy.

| Re: House Cleaning You figure that there should be a way to get rid of repeat topics. The person that posted it can delete it, but i tried that and it didn't work- said i didn't have access or something. Who knows...

| Re: House Cleaning Just out of courtesy to the author of the thread, we try to close them and leave a re-direct. I suppose leaving that information up for just a short period of time would be sufficient, and I do agree with you guys. Consider it done.

| Re: House Cleaning The main thing is, if you browse the forums using our "Get new posts" feature, you will only see such posts once. Since they are locked, there will be no activity in them, and they will gradually fall to the end of the forum, as posts are shown in chronological order. So deleting should not be necessary. Also, it's nice for the user who posted the thread to know what happened with it.

| Re: House Cleaning I completely understand the idea of letting posters know what happened to their thread, and I also understand the idea of setting an example etc. etc. I more meant eventually, after the thread has passed back into the recesses of the forum and is no longer being viewed-- It might also speed up the site, or something. I don't know how the Internet works.
