Cuz I have thousands of albums, and thousands of cassettes in my cellar. (Of course I would NEVER have copies of other peoples music  ) Dozens of 8-tracks (what crap). Several hundred cd's. Dozens of MPEG and DVD performances and a few hundred mp3's. I have had MANY years to collect all this so I'm not showing off, just letting you know what YOU all could end up with one day..... JUST in time for the NEXT audio format to make it's debut  Hats off to the Jefferson Airplane fan who posted. They are my all-time favorite band and, in fact, are the first albums in my vinyl collection (you know "A" for Airplane). I cheated though by putting some Jefferson Starship in there too. There is no finer album than "Blows Against the Empire", not to take away from DSOTM fans (I have 8 copies, including a half-speed master) . But Blows is pure energy, all live/studio takes and big jams sessions with Jerry Garcia and Paul Kantner setting the pace for social outrage and dreams of a generation of lost and beaten, yet hopeful stoners. Oh yeah - I agree with jeffro too Eddie Van Halen is a fantastic guitarist. Straight up, no pedals or effects, just the axe and Eddie. The guys who listed everything - that's impressive - I'm going to have to get down in my cellar with a case of beer and a notepad and do something like that too... could be fun!
