OK- Tommy by the Who was produced for B-way, Billy Joel, Queen, and even Abba have shows based after their music. Don't you think that the Wall would be great on B-way??

If all the puppet stuff could be pulled off, I say "Why not?'

I would go see it. Even if I wasn't a Floyd fan, I probably still would. Just for the hell of it.

No- the puppets are the best part. Hey, if Floyd used them, then the show would have to. Obviously, there would be things don differently, like the orchestra would be in a pit under the stage instead of behind the Wall like in the Floyd tour and it would be much more dramatic. It would cost a lot of money though......

Ohhhhhhhh..... Yeah-they could just drop them from the top of the celing- B-way stage celings are way high because that's where they hide the sets. The pyro and firewoks in a theater would pose a problem, however......

Yeah, the high ceilings would be no problem, but I really can't picture any B'way theatre letting anyone do pyro stuff in there.

They could do it in the one where they show Rent. It's smaller than some, but it's kind of run down compared to some of the others. Maybe it wouldn't matter so much if something happened.

Mine too- Johnathan Larson is an genius. (However Roger Waters and David Gilmour do have the advantage)

Yeah. They're still alive.

What else have you seen in the way of theatre?

Well- I live an hour from NYC, so it' not hard to get to it for me. I saw Phantom of the Opera (twice), Guys and Dolls, Le Miz, Titanic, King and I, Man of La Macha, Annie, Jesus Christ Superstar, Starlight Express, Show Boat and more than I just can't remember. You???

Re: Does anyboy else think that The Wall would be a great stage prodution

I've only seen two on B'Way, Rent and Aida.

My brother does lights for a theatre troupe, and they're quite good, so I've seen a lot there.
Cinderella, Guys and Dolls, Blood Brothers, Pippin, Footloose, Godspell, Jesus Christ Superstar, Falsettoes, Jekyll and Hyde...and a lot more that I can't remember.
Saw The Producers in Pittsburgh, too.

Blood Brothers was great. Loved that one.

I would love to see Les Miz. My mum saw it in NY, and didn't shut up about it for 2 months.

See Le Miz soon- it's closing in a month.
Notice that we're the only 2 talking in this thread???
And we have almost identical icons?
