Ahh, yes. Linkin Park.

A new form of cookie-cutter boy bands. Only much more depressing (in a different way).

But then again, that's only my opinion.

Then again, I'll say this. At one point in my past, I ADORED Limp Bizkit and Korn!

*ducks*

But today, I'm more or less limited (by choice) to the Floyd, Zeppelin, Hendrix, Stevie Ray, AC/DC, The Beatles, Rage Against the Machine, and a few others.

I tried listening to some Bizkit/Korn again a couple weeks ago. At one point or another I ended up a bloody mess of human pretzel in the floor. It was torture!

Anyway, Linkin Park? Hmm. No.

I'll take my sarcasm elsewhere now. Sorry!

Yes, well. The album came out today and it was worth the wait. The guys sound great. Finally, some good music to play on the radio. Oh, by the way, Sulaco can go to hell.

Sorry bud.

I'm a very opinionated, grouchy guy.

I meant no harm. My apologies.

Linkin Park sound dull and are a clear product of commerce. The company made these lunatics millionaires by selling their records to even madder people.

I HATE this genre, called nu metal, because everybody says it's rock and that's just what it isn't.

I'm afraid of people whose musical interests feature such artists on the top of their list.

Couldn't agree more. And also, it's really funny how produced they are compared to how awful they sound live<as heard on t.v. btw>First, if it weren't for Suicidal Tendencies, KoRn, and The Deftones who were the pioneers and leaders fusing hip-hop with metal, bands like LP wouldn't exist, nor would another horrible counterpart, Limp Bizkit. The difference between the first three and latter two is that Bizkit and Park try to hard for one to match the sound Tendencies, Deftones, and KoRn originated. Secondly the fan base is WAY different. Those who grew up on the first three were of a different, I want to say generation, in which such trendiness didn't exist and liking these bands meant a)getting alot of crap for it and b)them being known was very scarce. Since the success of these bands was so high, terrible imitations such as Linkin Park and Limp were able to make it, yet they both seem to think they are original in their sound, go figure. Also, I don't know about LP, but Limp is completely hypocritical in their whole scheme of things because there was a time they were "pop is evil" now Fred Durst is performing with Avril Lavigne. Secondly, the other day when they showed the Metallica special, it really made me feel good when a pioneering band such as themselves complemented KoRn after they performed "One" as they did, where as Limp completely destroyed the song they did. Everyone is entitled to what they think, but personally, I will take KoRn and the Deftones over a commercialized, fake band such as Linkin Park anytime, and never, ever, be ashamed of it, no matter what.
