favorite Pink Floyd song covers?

many bands have covered Pink Floyd songs before, some good, most bad. which have you heard that you actually enjoyed?

im going with At The Drive-In's version of "take up thy stethescope and walk" because i dont really know of any really good covers. its neat to listen to though.

got any good covers in mind?

Re: favorite Pink Floyd song covers?

Yeah-
Pearl Jam's "Wish You Were Here" is great. They've also done a mean "Breath". I also think that Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds doing "Wish You Were Here" with just acoustic guitars is wonderful.
-If you want strange, go with Marylin Manson doing "Another Brick in the Wall (Part 2)". That's just messed up.
I belive that there was a fourm discussing cover bands.....

I read of System of A Down covering Goodbye Blue Sky, but never heard it. I think that might be cool.

TO PlansForNigel.....

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS...093056-4411239

i didnt buy this, but a friend owns it and told me to about it. i do have an mp3 of it. i rather enjoy it. its a strange cover, and very much like the original, hard to truly enjoy. but they did a damn nice job.

if that link doesnt work, just go to amazon.com and search for "Invalid Litter Department Pt.2" by At the Drive-In.

enjoy

Re: favorite Pink Floyd song covers?

There's a band called Charge who did a cover of Comfortably Numb, and it's good. I got it from a website, but they seem to have taken it down.

Re: favorite Pink Floyd song covers?

The Foo Fighters did a cover of Have A Cigar with Brian May to play the solo, very cool to get May's interpretation of Dave's solo. I think it's on the Godzilla soundtrack, but Im not sure.

Btw, I hated Wycliff Jean's cover of WYWH.

There was a delightfully shitty version of 'Money' at the beginning of 'The Italian Job.'

Well, hello to all! First post here from a long time fan...

I've seen Collective Soul do a great job covering Mother and I've also seen Stone Temple Pilots do SOYCD.
