It's a new stereo mix? I thought that they used the same. In that case, I may be buying it.

BTW I have a DVD-rom that plays DVD audio too, so that's why I'd like to have it on DVD audio. Bad luck for me.

Well, even if it's not an entirely new studio mix, to my ear it was "cleaned up" some. For instance, it's much easier to hear that final voice at the end of "Eclipse", and the music that previously you had to have a pretty good stereo system to pick up.

Personally, since this was done from the original, 30 year old master tapes, it sounds kind of stale, which I why I like the Japanese Mini LP CD the best.

For anybody interested in upgrading their stereo set up, for a relatively cheap price. Pioneer just released "Home Theater in a Box" system that includes five speakers, a subwoofer, and a five disc DVD/CD/SACD/DVD-Audio/MP3 disc/Receiver unit. The speakers are all small enough for a small bedroom. I know because thats where mine went. This unit is available at reputable online electronics stores. I would suggest Etronics.com. That's where I got mine. I believe the model # is HT-530DV. The price is about $330.00 plus shipping. I got this unit for 2 reasons: I moved into a new place and needed something small for my bedroom and to listen the DSOTM SACD. I have never heard a warmer mix with such great seperation in all of my life. I hope more Floyd SACD's are on the way

Was that called Laserdisc?

no no no.... the best thing that you can do is buy the Pioneer DV-565A (563A FOR THE USA) it's the cheapest UNIVERSAL PLAYER, meaning it plays all formats (DVD, DVD-A, SACD, CD, MP3, VCD, SVCD, JPG etc etc) and it doesn't come along with useless matchbox size speakers...

you can find it as cheap as $150 in some places... really great and it has received raving reviews from all over the world. its really one of a kind in it's price range and it is a mini miracle.... I have bought it and am 100% satisfied!

*note: make sure your receiver/amp has 6channel analog inputs before you buy any sacd/dvd-a/universal player, for they are mandatory for the connections!
