New 30th aniversery dsotm

Damn...I have a DVD player (don't think it's SACD compatible).

Sounds like more albums are going to be released in SACD...but I'm not replacing a $4000 stereo just because of that (not yet anyway).

man ive got this Darkside SACD going, and i must say, this cd is well worth the 14 bucks i gave at walmart (of all places to have an actually good cd) !!! everything is much clearer, each track (in studio talk) seems to have been revamped, the delay effect on the vocals can be heard much better, its all great! its almost like having a new Floyd cd, only not, but well...still..............this calls for celebration!!!

I can't really play it in the 5.1 sound without a SACD player? This sucks! I'll save my money for The Wall In Berlin and Pompeii!

You have to be sure you are NOT using the digital output. A friend of mine had the same problem... but SACD doesn't work with the digital output. So that's possibly your case.

Don't forget it also has to be compatible with the SACD format.

Well, that's all too technical for me, but I think it's the right setup, it is a surround sound amp and all that.
The problem isn't that it won't come out in all the speakers, it just doesn't load.
I'm thinking about hitting it with a hammer. Or taking it back.
