APFFN Boring these days?

I did a quick search (very quick)...couldn't find something similar.

This is for the 'old hands' around the site.

Today's the first time I've actually sat on the site for a number of hours since about '94...and the place isn't as vibrant as it used to be.

Perish the thought...but I miss jokers like Gerald the Mouse etc...who got a bit involved...instead of folk who turn up, post a reply to their thread...and shoot on again.

How do we fix that...I've made some cool friends here, and I'd like to see a vibrant and interesting community started again.

edit: of course 'new hands' are welcome to comment too.

The main reason I don't come around here much anymore is because it bores the arse off me, frankly.

Re: APFFN Boring these days?

Ah Driven dear boy, this is like poking your dick in a wasp's nest. The last time someone had a go about 'the Golden age' of APFFN ( oops...mustn't use that phrase) it got as messy as a cat who has stepped in a jar of jam and wandered over a white shag pile carpet...very messy indeed. The only way the site will ever get back as 'vibrant' as it was before is, .... if we prod Gerald from his slumbers, get Cheese off the top of a mountain, get Fixxy to use his wit and repartee, get Pearly from underneath her mud-pack ( sorry Pearly I have slapped my own wrist..ouch) and all the rest of the old goats to come back home again. Failing that...you start something and I'll join in....and then so will everyone else.

I have faith in the new folks on the site. Trust me.

Re: APFFN Boring these days?

Maybe APFFN should do a total reset?
