Favorite Slow Song

You come home from a hard days work or long day at school. You just want to bash everything in your way. There is only one Pink Floyd song that could calm you down. Which song is it.

For me it would have to be Us and Them. No strange sounds. No loud noises that are in some other Pink Floyd songs. Nothing but a group of guys playing their instruments and singing. The whole ambiance of the song is very soothing. The piano and sax work perfectly.

Re: Favorite Slow Song

When i feel like that i sit down at my drumkit and try to kill it with my sticks! When iam tired of it i am ready for ballads!
Shine on works fine, so does wish you were here, and the mentioned "Us and them". Division bell is great album for relaxing to. High hopes, a great day for freedom. there are many...

Re: Favorite Slow Song

Signs Of Life, Cluster One and Wearing The Inside Out all have a soothing effect on me.

Also, I especially like combo of Julia Dream, Careful With....Eugene(!) and Cirrus Minor off the Relics album.

SOYCD continuous, parts 1 thru 9.

Re: Favorite Slow Song

Julia Dream is a great one. And, of course, SOYCD.

And sometimes I just stick in DSOTM. Never fails.

Forgot to say...Echoes nice.

Re: Favorite Slow Song

It depends on my mood. Sometimes the Finals Cut, or Two suns in the sunset. Sometimes Us and Them or Echoes.

Re: Favorite Slow Song

i cant say much for Floyd, too many to list lol, but i saw 'black sabbath' earlier and figured i'd mention the song 'planet caravan.'

i dig that one. very nice, even the Pantera cover of it is still incredible and soothing.

good times.
