And about bloody time too. I think a mix of Alan Parsons Project and Mike Oldfield would make a passable Floydy-likey. |

| Hmm - does he sing at all? The songs I've heard are all instrumentals - but are excellent! The one song with lyrics is "Moonlight Shadow", but it sounds like a woman.. ![]() Any you can recommend? h |

| I'm tired of people saying that Radiohead is trying to be like Pink Floyd, damnit. |

| I find no bands that sound like Floyd, but plenty that are as different from mainstream music as Floyd was in their day. |

| There was a guy in the early '80's , Tony Carey, who had a project call "The Planet P Project". They release a one hit wondser album called Pink World. Very Floydian.....bad Floydian....He was really trying to sound like our boys....fell very short IMO. |

And I like APP a lot as well, I love their rendition of Poe's "The Raven". h |

| There are not much similar bands. Maybe early Genesis and Iron Butterfly (especially their first album - Heavy) and the song Belda-beast sound like the Pink Floyd in 1967-1968, but for the Pink Floyd 70s sound... nobody sounding like them. |

| Faraway(so close!),eh? Could there be another U2 fan in the house? As far as bands that could maybe be considered to park their cars in the same universe as Pink Floyd, Ive always thought of Radiohead as being a Pink Floyd of our generation. Which is not to say that they rival our boys by any means, of course The guy who said Tool may be on to something as well.... |

| i still don't get the radiohead/pink floyd connection. i wish someone would explain it to me because in all my years of being a raiohead fan i never thought they sounded like the pink floyd of our generation. if anything i would say tool was closer to that. but even they sound very king crimsonish at times. not that it even f*ucking matters. |
