Yes. I think Harvey Bainbridge did it by himself. It is perfectly respectable. The current guys are good and there is an Australian tour coming. They are always good but Calvert made them brilliant. The first I heard of the last tour was when a concert was shown on tv months after they left. They were excellent. Had that classic HW sound of roaring through space and floating away at the same time.

There's a Finnish band called Kingston Wall who are obviously very influenced by Floyd in some respects. Actually, it is the guitar player who has Dave's influence in his playing. Unfortunately due to a rather dangerous dalliance with drugs I believe he lobbed himself off a bridge to his death a number of years ago. Shame, as he was a talented guy.

The band won't ever match Floyd, and I don;t think that they set out to rip them off, but if you get their second album (Imaginatively titled "II") you can check out "And It's Happening". It sounds like he had "SOYCD" & "Money" in mind when composing it. He uses a Strat and plenty of reverb/delay and it adds to the similarity. They have that "Space Rock" vibe.

It's not an easy CD to come by, as they were pretty niche in Finland, so you can imagine that it's not something you're likely to see pop up in your nearest Virgin Megastore but definitely worth keeping an eye out for it. I had to get it on P2P so I could hear it, before I actually bought the CD's when I was in Finland. Props go to my mate Mikko in Helsinki for turning me on to them!
