Which one song do you reckon describes you best?

I tried to answer this one honestly myself, but actually found it somewhat taxing. But you lot go for it.

Cheers,

Mark

Re: Which one song do you reckon describes you best?

honestly, that's a hard one to answer. Man gimmie some time to think about it. I think it's either something happy or something Ironic... Mark, I reckon you'd be... herm? I dunno

cheers

Re: Which one song do you reckon describes you best?

Only one?

Whew. I can come up with dozens befitting different aspects and moods, but one to encompass everything? I don't think that can be done. Not many people have that simple a personality.

If I had to pick one, I guess it would be "Hand in My Pocket" by Alanis Morrissette. Close enough, I suppose. Or maybe "Turn off the Light" by Nelly Furtado. Or "Twisted" by Joni Mitchell. Or "The Wall" by Kansas. Or "The Pass" by Rush. Crap, I give up!

Not necessarily a PF one I guess, The Downward Spiral by Nine Inch Nails so.

The Final Cut, having to choose among floydian ones.

Macho Man - The Village People

Body...wanna feel my body?
Body...such a thrill my body
Body...wanna touch my body?
Body...it's too much my body
Check it out my body body.
Don't you doubt my body body.
Talkin' 'bout my body body
Check it out my body

Every man wants to be a macho macho man
To have the kind of body always in demand
Jogging in the mornings go man go
Works out in the health spa muscles glow
You can best believe that he's a macho man
Ready to get down with anyone he can

Hey! Hey! Hey, hey, hey!
Macho, macho man (macho man)
I've got to be, a macho man
Macho, macho man
I've got to be a macho! Ow!

(Reprise)

Body, it's so hot, my body,
Body, love to pop my body,
Body, love to please my body,
Body, don't you tease my body,
Body, you'll adore my body,
Body, come explore my body,
Body, made by God, my body,
Body, it's so good, my body

You can tell a macho, he has a funky walk
His western shirts and leather, always look so boss
Funky with his body, he's a king
Call him Mister Eagle, dig his chains
You can best believe that, he's a macho man
Likes to be the leader, he never dresses grand

Hey! Hey! Hey, hey, hey!
Macho, macho man
I've got to be, a macho man
Macho, macho man
I've got to be a macho! (all right)

(Reprise)

Ugh! Macho..baby!
Body, body, body wanna feel my body,
Body, body, body gonna thrill my body,
Body, body, body love to pop my body,
Body, body, body it's so hot my body,

Every man ought to be a macho macho man,
To live a life of freedom, machos make a stand,
Have their own life style and ideals,
Possess the strength and confidence, life's a steal,
You can best believe that he's a macho man
He's a special person in anybody's land.

Hey! Hey! Hey, hey, hey!
Macho, macho man (macho man)
I've got to be, a macho man
Macho, macho man
I've got to be a macho! (dig the hair on my chest)

Macho, macho man (see my big thick moustache)
I've got to be, a macho man
Macho, macho man
I've got to be a macho! (big broad shoulders)

Macho, macho man (dig my muscles!)
I've got to be, a macho man
Macho, macho man
I've got to be a macho!

What can I say? I've got to be a macho man.

Re: Which one song do you reckon describes you best?

Very difficult to pick one song that describes me best...

A song that captures my philosophy on life and relationships the best is "Entre Nous" by Rush. Neil Peart is not only rock's best drummer, but he's a damn fine lyricist, too!

Oh, lordy, but I love you, man!! LOL

I can't come up with anything for myself, so I'll settle for Garbage's "Only Happy When It Rains" for now... or maybe "Seconds" by Pulp -

"'Cos seconds turn to hours
And the hours turn into days
Oh, but still it feels like morning
The first time leaves its trace
And then slides into 2nd place
Oh, but still it feels like morning
And at night they try to fly
Hold on tight and close their eyes
And they hit the ground in the morning, yeah
Oh my God, they're still alive!
They got it wrong, but they still tried
And they made it through to the morning"

Cheers!

This changes every so often, but right now it's Reelin' in the Years- Steely Dan. With a little Hotel California- Eagles, thrown in for good measure.
