I just got the Best of Bowie DVD, quite an interesting smattering of videos on there. After watching it, I realized that I skipped through pretty much of the 80s and early 90s videos, so in my opinion, Bowie was the best when he was rocking in the 70s (must've been the make up), and working with Trent Reznor (the only good stuff he does is with Bowie) and electronica the mid 90s with Outside and Earthling, which don't compare the Ziggy and Hunky Dory. Just another great artist stricken by "80s-itis", like Yes and Jethro Tull. And Pink Floyd. Though now i'm afraid I'l get too weirded out if I see the Ziggy Stardust movie, considering in the excerpt I saw he was wearing a japanese dress/skirt thing, and drenched in make up. But I must say the mullet was kinda cool.

Untrue! You should hear Reznor's Still record, or better yet Bowie's Heathen.

IMO doesn't come close to 'the rise and fall of ziggy stardust'.

Any Bowie fan should also check out Al Stewart, start with Year of the Cat. An excellent record, which is very Bowie-esque, while being somewhat mellower than Bowie.

Well Well, and here with "7 letters from tibet " & on "SLOW BURN" i'm busy searching for that damnes fool who invents the wheel;turning the dial on my shortwave radio!I thought they were speaking to me upon the stairs, about "...teach to think".But Hey nobody laughs anymore -its the worst thing you can do!!

HEATHEN is great; slow burn, etc. but I intend to beleive that BOWIE is a genius and along with Brian Eno(BTW, any one here knows about HIS whereabouts;Brian Eno that is-creating a virtual great music painting project was last i heard of him in "WIRED" mag?)has not let down his fans;He CHANGES!! ps where can i dowqnload mp3s of Nathan Adler Diaries-Segue1
