Best Broadway Show

I'm a rock and Broadway Junkie. There are sooooooo many good Broaday shows that also have a lot of rock in it. I'd like to hear your opinions.

Is the best:

Rent
Tommy
Jesus Christ Superstar
Les Miserabes
Phantom of the Opera
Guys and Dolls
Footloose
West side Story
The Rocky Horror Show
Singing in the Rain

If you have anymore, i'll ad them to the list.

Can't give an opinion on the listed selections, but my favorite musical is West Side Story. I never saw it on Broadway, of course, but I'm sure I would have loved it.

The only Broadway show I ever saw was "Don't Drink The Water", but it was Off-Broadway, actually.

I've only seen two shows on Broadway, Rent being one of them. As far as rock musicals go, I think Rent wins out. It is truly kick-ass.

I've seen a crapload of musicals otherwise, though. I really loved Falsettoes, even though it wasn't a rock musical. It is really entertaining, the whole thing being done in song, with no spoken dialogue. Blood Brothers was just plain great, too.

'Scuse me?

The best rock in a theatrical show - I have never seen a show on Broadway, but I have seen many in London's "Theatreland" on Shaftesbury Avenue and elsewhere - has got to be The Rocky Horror Show.

I thought there's no use getting, into heavy petting,
It only leads to trouble and ... seat wetting.
Touch-a, touch-a, touch-a, touch me. I want to be dirty.

I don't feel it's my place to edit someone else's poll without their permission or at their own request. And anyway, the originator is more than capable, should they so wish, to edit it themselves, so perhaps MusicGoddess might oblige.
