Hey everyone,
My name is Kyle Pittman age 17 and new around here, but not a stranger to the Floyd.
I work on indie films in the Ohio area as a Production Assistant but am quickly moving up to actually directing soon (this summer).

But I have directed one short film titled; Nebula Orion. I did it for school before I was "taken" out and am now homeschooled. It was originally titled The Great Gig in the Sky but my video production teacher said that would be against copyright (Yet he didnt care about the music I used) Its not like the movie is for any profit or anything, just to show some of my talents, but to the point of the film. Its basically psychadelic images and animations that I drew and filmed and alot of black and white and trippy color schemes of filming throughout the school corridors and outside in the woods. The two songs that go through the short film are Astronomy Domine (Syd Barrett / Piper version) and the second in the film being; The Great Gig in the Sky.

The animations I drew I am very proud of them, even though I had alot of limits. Its a scene where you can see a guy sitting on an armchair and watching a tv while floating past the moon and earth. I had alot of limits on it, such as I couldnt have the chair pass over the moon because a black block would show, revealing that it was a mat shot. But all and all it looks nice.

Currently Im in pre production with a real sort of short film using an actual crew other then me and a couple friends. But it still wont be released do to the fact it will be based off of a book we dont have license to use and will also use Floyd music as well. But the project is remake scenes from Stephen King's IT (Book Version) Being more like the book and more eerie and sereous then try to go for jolting and scary. The score for the project will consist of

Basically if you listen to these songs while reading the book you will know why I chose them. The female sounding chorus (Not sure what part its called) from AHM will be used when young Ben sees Pennywise down on the water while on the bridge for instance I will synch them perfectly.

The project will only be used for getting future jobs and perhaps someday a full length remake of Stephen King's IT possibly featuring some of this music. Actually I dont think I would make it if I couldnt use atleast Sweet Jane, AHM and If.

Yeah I am pretty busy, just yesterday made a deal with some people on shooting it and got a hold of a camera. It will have a black and white "To Kill a Mockingbird" look to it, and should look real nice. I cant wait to start filming. I also got one actress involved who got quite a bit of fame from Soap Operas, but I dont know anything about Soap Operas so I wasnt familiar with her work. Robyn Griggs is her name, you can look her up on www.imdb.com if you feel like it.

I also recently got a message from Linnea Quigley a "cult" film horror movie scream queen who said I was very very inspiring and wants my resume and some photo's after I sent her some ideas for short films I had.

Side note: Titles can't be copyrighted, only content. You can call your movie anything you want: 'The Godfather,' for example. Just as long as you aren't using actual scenes or script from a copyrighted work, you're fine.
