Slash isn't in GNR any longer. He left in like mid-'95. The band is now Axl and whole pile of other dudes. Axl is the only original member left. There is keyboard player who has been there since 1990 as well!

he clearly stated "Ex Guns and Roses members Slash, Duff McKagan and Matt Sorum have teamed up with Scott Weiland....." i think you misread it?....er...uh.......yeah.

Actually, just replying to that statement...I think I read it correctly myself.

I am disappointed they are not doing The Scarecrow.

Or what about Julia Dream? Love that flute!

Re: Ex Guns and Roses members play Floyd

I think I would be more shocked to find out ex Pink Floyd members were playing GNR songs.

Re: Ex Guns and Roses members play Floyd

I've heard a clip of the song. It starts with slash using voice box and bass comes in later on. Intro feels kind of empty without that clinking money sound. After the first verse there comes a guitar solo and then the clip fades out. Singer doesn't fit in a floyd song at all but otherwise it sounds interesting

Question Re: Ex Guns and Roses members play Floyd

I know this is old news, but GNR doing Floyd is senseless. Nothing but a hype; Floyd's direction and history have not much at all to do with GNR. It's like Liza Manelli doing 4 Non-Blondes. Nope, sorry. Not interested. (Although, Slash would be sure to deliver one hell of a solo!)

Re: Ex Guns and Roses members play Floyd

Roger Waters and Axl Rose do share a certain kind of noteriety concerning their interpersonal dealings, however...

Re: Ex Guns and Roses members play Floyd

Yes, I agree. Going back to the early '70s when the Floyd still had "Careful With That Axe, Eugene" as part of their concert set list, I can see an obvious kind of relation between the two (Waters/Rose). Although Waters' idealisms in music altogether are far more surrealistic and innovative than anything W. Axle would ever dream of...

No, I mean that they both treated their bandmates like shit when their heads grew too filled with nonsense

Oh dear God NO!

I really cannot stand Scott Weiland. And Money? It's just one of those songs...you shouldn't mess with it
